Cook ‘N’ Kettle History

Since 1947, Cook ‘N’ Kettle has been the only barbecue manufacturer to combine the heat retention characteristics of cast-iron with the even heat distribution of a kettle shape to create the most unique barbecue cooker and smoker onn the market. Although expensive and difficult to manufacture, cast-iron was chosen for the kettle and its components because no other metal heats up as fast and retains heat as efficiently. These cookers are not the mass-produced variety typically seen in discount stores today (the ones that eventually bend, collapse, or burn through). Cook ‘N’ Kettle products are crafted one at a time with a life expectancy of well over 40 years.

We are unique in that our customers describe Cook ‘N’ Kettle in terms of model year. For example, it’s not unusual to hear conversations like this between Cook ‘N’ Kettle owners. “I have a 1952 and a 1973 model,” or “We have a 1960 at our summer cabin and a 1981 at our house.”

We at Cook ‘N’ Kettle are very proud to be catering to third generation users. One family of customers relates that their grandfather in Michigan is an original owner. His son in Boston is a second generation purchaser, and recently presented a Cook ‘N’ Kettle as a wedding gift to his daughter in South Carolina, thus continuing the Cook ‘N’ Kettle Tradition.

We encourage you to join the Cook ‘N’ Kettle family. Order a piece of cast-iron history today. It will be the last barbecue cooker you will buy.
